EKTOMORF are back!!!!
Only a year after their very successful (soon to be classic)
album "Instinct" and
their sensational Live DVD "Live And Raw", the band from Hungary
already recorded their next attack, named "Outcast".
If you thought
that you knew how "Outcast" sounds, be prepared for
the unexpected, this truly is new and fresh.
EKTOMORF might have found their sound with "Destroy" in 2004, but "Outcast" is
like that little push over the edge. The band have Improved their song writing,
added more dynamics, better ideas and a mighty mighty production from Mr.
Danish Dynamite himself: Tue Madsen. "Outcast" could easily be his
best work up to date. The guitars are roaring, the drums are pounding and on
top of that, the infernal screams and shouts of singer/guitar player Zoltan
Farkas.
Not only has Zoltan improved his vocals but the whole band have worked
very hard to become better musicians. You can really hear the difference: More
leads,
solos, breaks, fills more everything. "Ambush In the Night" for
example is a folk-influenced Thrash neck breaker that will blow your mind!
Same goes for "Who Can I Trust? (Prayer)", a semi-acoustic masterpiece
which is definite goose bump material. Other songs like the title track "Outcast" or "I
Confront My Enemy" are destined to cause serious trouble in every moshpit
on upcoming tours.
Another surprise is the cover version of the PRODIGY classic "Fuel My
Fire". EKTOMORF made a great metal song out of it, without any electronics,
but with many roaring guitars. Impressive.
Be careful! The "Outcast" is coming!
